CELEBRATING A QUARTER CENTURY OF ART CULTURE IN HYDE PARK! The Hyde Park Village Art Fair just celebrated it’s 25th Year. The weekend art festival, held on October 25 and 26, 2014, was produced by Howard Alan Events & American Craft Endeavors. They are responsible for organizing the Nation’s Finest Juried Art Shows and Craft Festivals. The event was host to incredibly talented artists and artisans from around the Tampa Bay area and all around the United States. Art, in itself, is stimulating to the senses and everyone has their own appreciation for what they connect to. Let’s just say that there was an abundant amount of amazing art to connect with and so many pieces that I’ve personally marked down on my wish list. There were painters, sculptors, craftsman and artisan jewelers, not to mention vendors offering delectable treats to tease your taste buds too. There was even a little pumpkin patch, for the kids, in the spirit of fall and Halloween. “In the honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, some artists created specific pieces for sale where the proceeds were donated to Moffitt Cancer Center.” The weather was absolutely perfect, clear blue skies with a light breeze, making it the icing on the cake for a very successful event. Take a peek at the event images we captured in the photo gallery slideshow below.
Florida’s Largest Anime Convention, METROCON, held at the Tampa Bay Convention Center, in the heart of downtown Tampa, drew approximately 8,000+ anime enthusiasts the weekend long event. Anime fans came dressed as there favorite character, as well as a few new original characters to the scene. There were vendors and anime artists from all over the world. Take a look at the video for a little peek at the event.
